Voice commerce - Invent / Reinvent and Invigorate / Reinvigorate Your Business / Ecommerce

Are you looking for ways to improve your eCommerce ? Want to learn the key trends that will affect your online shop over the coming year? Then please read this first article about new trends in eCommerce. I will continue this series soon.

The reasoned year of the pandemic was a huge catalyst for millions of consumers but also companies, who have embraced the convenience of digital services and ecommerce. Digital services and ecommerce have immensely benefited from online selling, as it the companies, the industry, dealers and retailers the ability to reach out to more customers without sacrificing the customer experience that physical touch points and stores offered. In the same manner, ecommerce connected providers and retailers with users and of all types and sizes, covering products ranging from construction and engineering machines and parts to consumer goods to customized shoelaces. All parties in the loop, including manufacturers, suppliers, and consumers benefit from ecommerce and online selling.

Even in the wake of the pandemic, and that should be no surprise for anybody, many people now prefer online shopping to in-person retail.
People are now looking for self-service features, 24/7 availability, and maximized personalization.
They are looking for conversational commerce.

Today I will make you aware of ...
Voice commerce

Voice commerce is allowing user and consumers to use voice commands to search and purchase products online. i.e., Apple’s Siri, Google’s Assistant, Amazon’s Alexa, Microsoft’s Cortana, and the like, The user needs just their voice and a compatible smart device, such as a phone, tablet, or smart speaker, or any other voice and audio connection on the walk, in the car or on the motorbike – in the last two examples perhaps completed and supported by a HUD head-up-display in the car or on the visor of the helmet. Conversational AI simplifies everyday tasks. If I should describe the term ‘Conversational AI’ – I would define it as a set of technologies which can mimics human conversation and interact / communicate by recognizing speech and text even gestures, understanding intent, … connecting computers and digital to humans and real world. Writing here and now about Voice commerce – it means consumers can use their voice to find the item they need, make an order, pay for it, track it, and leave feedback when it arrives. Later, they can use purchase history to reorder their products. And it works both for online and physical shops.

Conversational AI and voice-powered solutions are much more than a trend. Voice is here to stay because it’s a natural interface. The technology keeps advancing at an incredibly rapid pace, and pretty soon we won’t be able to imagine shopping without shopping assistants.

These technologies might and will open possibilities for sure people with limitations or disabilities - Perhaps for every being or perhaps not - as in this commercial 😀:
