Did you ever realized that riding a horse and UX are quite similar?

A quote I often used and use is:

UI is the saddle, the stirrups, & the reins. UX is the feeling and experience you get being able to ride the horse.

And everyone knows or should know that you will be only able ' to ride the horse' controlled, safe and sound ... when you respect, look at, or at least being aware of the environment, setting, surroundings and what comes into the play in the periphery.

That's why we need UX research, so that what we see on a UI and read - from tiny text labels to copy texts, what we can do or not do - will have an impact on our success, experiences, feeling and joy of 'riding' - the combination of horse, rider, equipment, environment is so important and relevant.
